Senior Manager, Transformation Office (Labour Relations and Workplaces Division) - 1 year contract

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) aims to develop a productive workforce and progressive workplaces, for Singaporeans to have better jobs and a secure retirement. In a rapidly changing global economic landscape, Singapore’s workforce and workplace practices have to remain adaptable. MOM’s policies help enhance the workforce’s profile, promote lifelong employability and income security for Singaporeans, as well as foster excellent working environments that are fair and safe. As an MOM officer, you will get to work in a range of exciting areas to help the Ministry attain its goals, including manpower policy, industrial relations, workplace safety and foreign employment regulation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Change Management/ Staff Engagement

  • Assist in the planning and coordinating of communication, engagement platforms and interventions to:
  • Motivate and gain buy-in
  • Provide regular progress updates
  • Gather feedback and address staff’s concerns and barriers to change
  • Support the relevant units in the implementation of change management/ staff engagement plan

Coordinate Transformation/ Business Process Redesign (BPR) projects

  • Identify opportunity areas in consultation with ops colleagues
  • Work with ops teams on transformation and BPR projects
  • Keep track of the work streams’ progress and provide updates to senior management 

REQUIREMENTS:

Educational Qualifications

  • Tertiary education in any discipline

Relevant Experience

  • 1 - 3 years’ working experience in project or change management work
  • Excellent project management skills and analytical skills
  • Adaptability and ability to multi-task

Personal Characteristics & Behaviours

  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and exemplify a pro-active approach to problem solving
