Assistant Manager / Manager (Facilities Management)

The candidate should possess good technical knowledge in facilities management of a commercial building. Hands-on experience in handling large M&E systems is essential to ensure the smooth operation of all critical equipment.

  • Work with the managing agent to ensure the smooth delivery of facilities duties

These includes:

  • Supervision and verification of works. Works may be carried out after office hours or on weekend
  • Attending to urgent/ emergency facilities breakdown
  • Inventory control and monitoring
  • Weekly facilities audit
  • Monitoring the performance of the managing agent
  • Fire safety checks
  • Tenant management
  • Contract administration duties such as obtaining quotes for procurement, obtaining of approval, issuance of purchase order and processing of invoices
  • Manage the upgrading projects of facilities M&E systems
  • Handle facilities budget and expenditure
  • Monitoring and reporting of environmental sustainability targets
  • Ensuring all works comply with the Workplace Safety and Health Act
  • Assist in Energy Management and Environmental Sustainability initiatives

Job Requirements

The candidate must possess the following qualifications and attributes:-

  • A good relevant degree in Building & Facilities Management or any engineering discipline
  • Preferably with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in managing commercial buildings
  • Preferably possess FSM certification
  • Good analytical, communication and leadership skills as well as strong organisational and effective writing skills
  • Self-driven, resourceful and ability to work in a team
  • The selected candidate will be appointed on a 2-years contract in the first instance
