Job Description & Requirements

Clinic Assistant Required

Location: Novena Medical Center

Responsibilities:

  • Provide good patient care/ support services in the clinic to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Handle registration of patients, phone calls, checking, answering, following up of emails, electronic communications with patient- etc
  • Understand the clinic workflow when instructing patients on various medicals examinations, inclinic procedures, out of clinic procedures -Laboratory/ Radiology, Specialist Referral etc
  • Following up on Patient care – Review appointment dates and calling of patient, results of test done and their outcome , liasing with patients
  • Use of Electronic Medical Records for Patient – appointment,contact details etc ,patient care, patient reminders , updating of patient vitals parameters etc,
  • Assisting the Doctor for Various procedure- inclinic, home visit, onsite visits
  • Assisting in various in clinic investigations – Urine Dip Stick, Blood Sugar measurement, ECG,BP, HR, Hearing, Eye check, Aerobic Test etc
  • Assisting the Doctor during Training – Trainee’s Administrative work, Training materials, Trainees workflow
  • Telemedicine – use of eleteronic devices , online software, maintenance of Telemedicine Devices and Telemedicine Suite, ability of learnt and use Telemedicine to assist doctor in Patient care.
  • Dispensing of Medications
  • Oversee the stock level of the clinic’s inventory and support in the ordering clinic stock – medications and non-medications
  • Ability to perform COVID 19 Swabbing - PCR and ART Swabbing is required for this application - training will be provided
  • All applicants must be able to wear Medical Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) during the course of employment during the course of employment

  • You will be working mainly in clinic but at times will be deployed onsite for swabbing or assisting the doctor for onsite medical visits
  • During the course of your employment training will be provided but you will be expected to have self directed learning as well
  • Initiative in performance of duites and self directed learning during the course of your employment is an important aspect and is expected of you during the course of employment.
