Assistant Director (Infrastructure - Regulatory Review)


 You will be part of the Regulatory Review team in the Infrastructure Division which ensures that regulations in the infrastructure sector are efficient, responsive to our operating context, and support innovation. As a member of the team, you will work with public sector agencies and private sector organisations to lead and facilitate effective review of regulations across the infrastructure sector. You will also have a chance to work on other infrastructure related issues relating to the built environment sector and construction industry.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Gathering feedback on regulatory pain points and/or concerns from industry stakeholders (both public sector agencies and private sector organisations)
  • Working with relevant agencies and stakeholders to address these pain points and/or concerns (e.g. finding root causes, analysing the issue, facilitating and supporting agencies in developing recommendations for improvement
  • Conducting and/or supporting agencies and teams in conducting deep dives in key areas to futureproof regulations and facilitate innovation
  • Exploring and piloting the use of appropriate regulatory assessment tools and practices
  • Reviewing and /or formulating policies related to the built environment sector

Successful applicant will be offered 2-years (i.e. 1+1) contract. The 2nd year of contract will be considered for renewal upon officer's satisfactory performance during the 1st year of contract service. 


 You should possess:

  • A university degree
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably with experience/knowledge about regulatory policy development and implementation in the infrastructure sector.
  • Good writing, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • A keen interest in infrastructural or regulatory issues.
